Deeply Creepy at Bristol Aquarium

Bristol Aquarium is inviting visitors to enjoy a Deeply Creepy experience during the October Half Term Holidays (Saturday, October 25th – Sunday, November 2nd).

Step inside the spooky sunken shipwreck and embark on a Halloween-themed voyage of discovery featuring eerie encounters with a cast of fishy fiends including awesome octopus, electric eels, wolf fish, piranhas and jellyfish.
There’s a petrifying programme of terrifying talks, frightening feeding demonstrations, weird workshops and tortuous trails to enjoy every day.
Don’t miss the Fearsome Fish Food Workshop and the chance to discover first-hand the ghastly ingredients of a real fish supper!
Plus there are Pumpkin Trails, Trick or Treat Touchboxes and Spooky Story times to finish off the day.
For full Deeply Creepy event details please visit our Events page.
There’s also a world of incredible aquatic adventure just waiting to be discovered with over 40 amazing displays, underwater walk-through tunnel and giant open top tanks to explore.
Come face to face with thousands of amazing sea creatures; from tropical sharks and stingrays to giant octopus and elegant seahorses.
Part of the aquarium is contained within a giant glasshouse which is also home to a huge variety of living plants and trees and features a Mediterranean rockpool and a huge rainforest pool – fed by a waterfall.
The centrepiece of the aquarium is the coral seas display where visitors can enjoy the closest of undersea encounters with tropical sharks and rays in an underwater walk-through tunnel, via a two-metre concave bubble display and a massive floor to ceiling acrylic viewing window.
Other displays recreate mangrove swamps and are home to spitting archer fish, mudskippers and freshwater rays. There are Amazon rainforest pools full of piranhas and a selection of exotic bugs, poison dart frogs and creepy crawlies.
